Our history
In August, Arribella decided to embark on a new adventure by starting a 501c3 nonprofit to support athletics, chess, speech & debate and fine arts at BASIS Flagstaff. 
After extensive legal paperwork, numerous emails and applications, a parent loan and a great deal of hard work….BASIS Flagstaff Auxiliary and Sports Team’s (BFAST) inception was a SUCCESS! 
She has emailed directors of ACA and MBAA to run concessions at race weekends (successfully completed 4 weekends over 2 months), purchased multiple concession machines, acquired donations / grants from corporations, and run concessions at various sporting and chess events.
Unfortunately, some BASIS Flagstaff students are unable to participate in AIA athletics, chess, and speech and debate due to the affordability of the fees. Due to the low number of participants, AIA fees (event entry, officials, etc), transportation, hotels and uniform / equipment costs…fees must remain high.
Arribella created BFAST to allow every student the opportunity to participate through scholarships while also providing the school the essential tools needed through fundraising. The ultimate goal is to lower student fees by providing transportation (12 passenger van), equipment and uniforms.

Funds for two student scholarships raised
Arribella is elated to share this student-led non-profit with her peers! Two students, Tyler and Blake, have already begun volunteering and will assist on the board. Together, they can brainstorm fundraising ideas and volunteer at events!
